What is Suited and how does it work?

Suited is a recruiting platform that is powered by artificial intelligence. For candidates, it takes the form of an assessment that provides firms with insights into how you are predicted to perform as a potential employee. Many banks require a Suited profile to be considered for a job. Suited is also a place for candidates to discover information related to the professional services industry.

Suited is not a recruiting firm and does not operate as a headhunter, however. We do not guarantee interviews or jobs to our candidates. We allow companies who are interested in diversifying their candidate pools to see your profile, which offers a more in-depth view of who you are as a candidate and potential coworker.

How much does Suited cost for candidates?

Suited is absolutely free for candidates.

Which companies use Suited to source talent?

Our current partners are all investment banks, and they include: Baird, Ducera Partners, Harris Williams, Houlihan Lokey, Lazard Middle Market, Piper Sanders, and PJT Partners. When more partners come onto the ecosystem, your profile will be immediately available to them.

I'm not a finance major. Can I still fill out a profile?

Yes! So long as you are interested in finance and investment banking, we encourage candidates with all majors to complete a profile.

Who should use Suited?

Presently, Suited is optimized for candidates who are interested in breaking into investment banking through an entry-level Analyst position (for those graduating with an undergraduate degree) or an entry-level Associate positions (for those graduating with an MBA).

For undergrads: The most common positions available are paid internships with the title of “Summer Analyst” that take place between your junior and senior year. We would encourage students to complete their Suited profile before the start of your second semester of your sophomore year as firms recruit throughout the Spring of your sophomore year and Fall of your junior year. While most full-time hiring occurs out of the Summer Analyst position, we also encourage students who are seniors to fill out a profile, as many banks will look to fill any remaining full-time positions in the early part of student’s senior year.

For MBA students: The most common positions are paid internships with the title of“Summer Associate” that take place the Summer after your first year of your MBA program. We would encourage students to complete their Suited profile as early as possible in your first year because recruiting events can begin as early as the first few weeks of school.

If you are an undergraduate applying to Summer Analyst positions, firms will reach out as early as the Spring of your sophomore year and through the Fall of your Junior year. If you are eligible for diversity programs, firms may start reaching out to you as early as February of your sophomore year. What does the Suited assessment help companies understand about me?

Suited measures how your personality, cognitive ability, personal values, stress response style, education, and experience all combine to make you unique. Unlike the traditional methods of recruiting, we weigh your education, GPA, major, and experience much less heavily than we do other traits. We then compare that data to each of our firms to determine which one you are best suited for employment.
