James Cole Jr.

James is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of the Jasco Group, LLC, a hedge fund based in New York City. He also serves on the National Board of Directors of Jumpstart, which provides language, literacy, and socio-emotional programming for preschool children from under-resourced communities and promotes quality early learning for all.

From 2016-2017, James served as the US Delegated Deputy Secretary of Education and General Counsel under President Obama. During this time, he also oversaw the Department’s work on President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Task Force, which sought to address persistent opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color and to ensure that all young people are able to reach their full potential.

James served on the board of directors of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund for 7 years. And from 1996-2011, James worked at the law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York City, where, in 2004, he became a partner. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School.

Their goal is to guide an understanding of the nuances and complexities of each organization’s culture in order to create customized solutions directly related to a business’s bottom line.

Angela has served on the board of directors of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund since 2011.

Angela has first-hand experience working both in law firms and corporations. She held the position of Texaco's first Chief Diversity Officer, and later became the Global Chief Diversity Officer of Colgate Palmolive in 2001, where she successfully developed and drove diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout these organizations.

Working as a lawyer for 17 years at two law firms (Jones Day and Arent Fox), Angela represented Fortune 500 companies on a broad range of legal issues from government relations to international business transactions.

Angela graduated from Mills College and holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law School.
